Welcome to the new Moai Films blog! We’ve had a crazy busy year working on a number of projects – including multiple cinematic shorts, features, music videos, commercials, and variety of other content. Along the way we also managed to forge some exciting new relationships in the industry and had the opportunity to beta test some of the latest advancements in technology by incorporating them into our “real world” production environments. We are very passionate about our projects and we found that many of our friends and colleagues were just as interested in learning about the work we’ve been doing. We intend for this blog to be a space for just that – a resource for technical instruction, equipment reviews, and creative insight. So keep an eye out for these posts and more here on our new blog!

Lukas Colombo

Lukas Colombo is a multi-award winning film director and cinematographer with a strong passion for his craft. He studied Cinema and Television at Palm Beach Atlantic University where he was honored as the “Outstanding Graduate in Entertainment Media.” That same year, he founded Moai Films, a production company that has produced numerous projects from commercials and music videos to narrative films and documentaries. He has received over a dozen international and national awards for his narrative work, and his music videos have been viewed millions of times online via MTV, VEVO and VH1. He currently resides in the Greater Los Angeles Area with his loving wife and kids. Raised in Santiago, Chile, Lukas is a widely traveled individual, fluent in both the Spanish and English languages and fervently committed to excellence, innovation, and integrity.
